BOSTON -- Red Sox manager Alex Cora has a sure sign that things are becoming serious in the baseball playoffs. He received a text message from Bill Belichick, wishing him success.

Cora exclaimed, "That's the highlight of my year," before Sunday's Game 3 against Tampa Bay in the AL Division Series. "I got the text via this random area code. To be honest, that's cool for someone of his stat to wish us luck.

Cora stated that Belichick texted her again after Tuesday's win over the New York Yankees in the wild-card round. Cora stated that although they have been in contact several times, Belichick is now closer to her than ever.

According to the genial Red Sox manager, he sees a different side to Belichick than what the grumpy coach portrays through the media. Cora, who is a Red Sox player but also a manager, wondered aloud if he would go all Belichickian if it was more.

He said that he wouldn't promise him, but that he didn't believe he would.
