With a goal against Andorra, Tammy Abraham, a Roma forward, marked his first England debut in four years.
England made another step towards qualification for the 2022 World Cup Qatar by winning easily in Andorra.
Gareth Southgate's team dropped their first qualifying points when they lost to Poland in their final game. However, there was no danger of losing anything against the country ranked at 156th in Fifa rankings.
England rested large guns like captain Harry Kane, but with Phil Foden shining, they had too much for Andorra, and quickly established their superiority.
Foden was in Jadon Sancho's place to set up Ben Chilwell's first England goal after 17 minutes. The Manchester City youth player then delivered the perfect pass to Arsenal's Bukayo Saka to add another five minutes before the end.
After his excellent form with Roma, Tammy Abraham wanted to score. He was also desperate to be on the scoresheet. Kane was injured and Everton's Dominic Calvert Lewin was on the bench.
James Ward-Prowse scored England's fourth goal late on. He did so from a rebound after Andorra's penalty was saved. Jack Grealish then produced his first international goal with Sam Johnstone's brilliant throw.
It was also an important game for Kateryna Mozul of Ukraine, who was the first woman to officiate senior England men's games. She displayed excellent control in a sometimes spiky encounter.
England stars stake claim to their claim
Andorra may have been the opposition, nestled between New Caledonia (and the Dominican Republic) in the Fifa rankings. But Foden was unmistakable.
The 21-year old was a star in Manchester City's draw with Liverpool, scoring a dazzling goal. He also played in an unassuming role in Andorra, making him the game's best performer.
Foden, especially in the first half, was in a remarkable form. He effortlessly selected team-mates with high quality passes and contributed to England's first goal.
Abraham returned home feeling rejuvenated after his time with Jose Mourinho in Rome. It was a great night. Although he had some difficulties initially, he persevered and showed awareness.
Sancho was another player who stood out, even though he was given a silly booking after kicking the ball away. After his move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United for 73m, the forward was positive and always willing to help defenders. He also helped to set up England's first two goals.
Grealish, who was asked by Southgate to deliver England goals, delivered the added bonus when he ran at the Andorra defense before scoring a low goal past Gomes.
England's qualification to Qatar is a formality. This win, however, extended their unbeaten record in World Cup qualifying games to 28 games. However, this job was very professionally done against Andorra, which offered little more than game defense.
Southgate's team will be next in action Tuesday when they host Hungary. They hope to get closer to the World Cup.
