A new teaser gives us a glimpse at season thirteen.

The thirteenth season of Doctor Who, unlucky for some, will begin on October 31, 2021. BBC revealed the news after a series audio and cryptic messages by Doctor Who trying to reach the world via her TARDIS console room. After deleting several official Doctor Who social media accounts, the BBC also released the information. It's all good now. The Doctor and her companions will have to deal with all manner of threats and monsters to the universe.

Each of the episodes of season 13 will not be a standalone story. Instead, they will all be part of a larger story. Perhaps the Flux is one example of this. The season sets the stage for Whittaker's and Chibnalls departure next year. They will be seen in three specials before Russell T. Davies returns to the show. In the meantime, Yaz (Mandip Gil) and the 13th Doctor meet two new friends in their latest epic adventure. One is more down-to earth than the other. First is Dan, a new companion played by John Bishop. He appears to be a normal human being from modern Earth. As you may recall, he was first seen at the end of Revolution of the Daleks' New Years Day special earlier in the year.

Doctor Who season 13 premieres on BBC America and BBC America on October 31.
