For months, Singapore has been very clear about the covid-19 travel plans. As the tip is now, the city state will also open up.
Travelers from the US and Canada, along with 6 other countries, will soon be allowed to enter the country.
You can book your trip now with an October 19th reopening. You will still need to take covid-19 tests. If you are from a country that has paper vaccine certificates, additional steps may be required.
Singapores Huge Travel Reopening Moves
Singapore shocked the world last month when it announced that it would be reopening restriction-free travel for fully vaccinated visitors coming from Germany and Brunei.
Anyone who didn't read the Straits Times op-ed from Singaporean leaders months ago, declaring that the country was making the pandemic endemic and was ready for reopening was shocked.
The beloved city-state has reopened and is now open to tourists from the West. Despite plans for rapid reopening in many parts of the world, Asia remains largely unexplored, except for Thailand and Singapore.
On October 19, Singapore will accept fully vaccinated visitors from the following countries: Canada, Denmark France, Italy The Netherlands, Spain, USA, UK, and Canada. Korea will follow on the 15th of November, with other countries including Japan likely to follow.
This is the largest travel reopening for fully-vaccinated travelers to date. You can visit these countries if you are fully vaccinated against any of the available vaccines.
Only one thing to note is that any person with a covid-19 paper vaccination certificate (which certainly applies to US visitors) would need to have their certificate changed to a Smart Health/CommonTrust version. Private entities are changing the way vaccine cards work. This is helping to build trust and validity.
