CNSA/Lunar Exploration and Space Engineering Center Change 5 Landing Site
It is possible that the moon was volcanically active earlier than we think. China's Change 5 spacecraft brought back lunar material. It found that the magmatic rocks that formed the moon's surface are less than 2 Billion years old. This suggests that the moon's history is more complex than scientists thought.
