Abby Johnson, former director of Planned Parenthood, is responding to Billie Eilish's denigration of Texas' abortion laws at her concert in Texas.
Eilish said that "When they made that law, I almost didn't want to do it," last weekend.

"Because it was my desire to punish this f---ing place for allowing this to happen here. Then I realized that it was you guys who are the f--- victim and deserve all the glory in the world. We need to tell them to stop being so rude! "My body, my f---ing choice!"

The words "Bans Off Our Bodies" flashed behind her during her concert.

Johnson's remarks touched on an ongoing tension in the abortion debate, which seemed to be amplified by Texas's focus on fetal heartsbeats. Celebrities have reacted strongly to the controversial law that went into effect last month and called for boycotts.

Although the Supreme Court rejected Planned Parenthood’s attempt to block it, a federal court stopped its enforcement earlier this week.
