In the World Cup qualifier stadium, fire breaks out in England's match against Andorra

At the stadium where England will be playing their qualifier for the World Cup in Andorra, a fire broke out.

Three hours after England had practiced on the pitch, the television gantry at Estadi Nacional caught fire.

One of the dugouts was melted while the video assistant monitor for refereeing had been left burning and the walls had become blackened from the fire.

Although the fire department extinguished the flames, the extent of the damage is unknown.

The Andorran FA confirmed that Saturday's match will continue.

"As we all know, there was a small accident, and a fire. No personal injury has been reported. Only material damages have been caused," read a statement.

Koldo Alvarez, Andorra coach, said: "We must congratulate everyone ourselves because there has not been any personal harm, which was the most important part. But I have no doubt that we are going to continue to train and will be able play tomorrow."

Gareth Southgate's men will face Andorra at the venue seating 3,300 on Saturday at 19:45 BST

England are currently top of Group I with four points more than Albania. They welcome Hungary to Wembley on Tuesday as part of a double-header.
