Three classic Grand Theft Auto games will be re-released on modern platforms

Rockstar Games has confirmed that it will re-release three more Grand Theft Auto titles. The bundle includes Grand Theft Auto III and GTA Vice City, as well as GTA San Andreas.
The clunky-named Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy The Complete Edition will be available for purchase on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In the first half 2022, the bundle will be available on iOS and Android.

Rockstar claims the new games will feature enhanced visuals and "modern gaming enhancements", while keeping the original look and feel. In the coming weeks, more details will be available about the changes. The visuals of these classic games may not be as good in 2021, even though they are timeless. They might be worth revisiting with updated graphics, and some fans will enjoy being able to access them on Switch.

Rockstar will soon remove GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas original versions from its digital storefronts, effective next week. If you have purchased the games previously, you can still download them.

The publisher also plans to commemorate the 20th anniversary GTA III later in the month. GTA Online will be hosting some special events and commemorative gear this fall.
