The Grand Theft Auto trilogy is getting remastered for PC and consoles, including Nintendo Switch

Rockstar Games confirmed that Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City will each receive HD remasters after several rumors. The package will include Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas HD remasters. They will be available on PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher, PlayStation, Xbox and, most surprisingly, on the Nintendo Switch. It will be available for iOS and Android within the first half 2022. The pricing and release date information have not been revealed.
It has not yet shared footage or details about the technical changes made by the company. It does say that all the games have received across-the-board improvements, including modern gameplay enhancements. However, the company has not shared any footage yet.

If you grew up playing Grand Theft Auto V (8 years ago), and don't have an easy way to enjoy these older games, now is the time to get started. Although it might seem strange to not be able to swap between protagonists in Grand Theft Auto, the adventures of Claude (the silent protagonist in GTA III), Tommy Vercetti, Vice City, and CJ in San Andreas is still well worth the effort.

Rockstar states that we will be learning more about the games collection over the next few weeks. It will begin to remove existing titles from digital storesfronts ahead of the launch. So if you are interested, grab them now before they disappear.
