Daily Getaways is back and potentially offers amazing discounted travel opportunities. As of today, the Daily Getaways offers for this year are available. I thought it would be helpful to review what is currently available and also give you a preview of what's coming up.
What are Daily Getaways?
Daily Getaways is an American Travel Association promotion. It is designed to promote tourism in the United States. This promotion has been offered each spring since its inception, but it will return this fall due to the absence of the pandemic for the past two springs.
Daily Getaways has worked with major hotels, car rental companies, and theme parks to offer discounted travel packages in the past. These promotions can be in many forms: vouchers for travel experiences or points packages, or discounted gift cards.

When will Daily Getaways return?
As of Thursday, October 7, 2020, the Daily Getaways promotion will be back. You can access the Daily Getaways deals by visiting the Daily Getaways website every weekday at noon ET. This is when the offers go live.
There have been historically five weeks of promotions with a new deal each weekday. We have only known about the promotions for the first three weeks. It remains to be seen if anything else is revealed.

October 7, 2021: Daily Getaways Hilton Honors Offer
Daily Getaways will offer Hilton Honors points for a discounted price on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Purchase:
For $150, get 30,000 Hilton Honors Points
For $500, 100,000 Hilton Honors Points
250,000 Hilton Honors Points for $1,250
You can now buy Hilton Honors Points for as low as 0.5 cents per piece. This is similar to the promotion offered by the program.
October 8, 2021: Daily Getaways World of Hyatt
Daily Getaways will offer World of Hyatt Points at a Discount on Friday, October 8th 2021. Purchase:

World of Hyatt points can be purchased for as low as 1.2-1.32c each. This is considerably cheaper than buying World of Hyatt points directly.

Daily Getaways will offer discounted Best Western Rewards points on Monday, October 18, 2021. Purchase:

October 19, 2021: Daily Getaways Palazzo & Venetian
Daily Getaways will offer discounted Las Vegas hotel rooms on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Purchase:
For $650, three nights in a Venetian Grand King Suite
For $850, three nights in a Palazzo Grand Bedroom Suite
This could be a great deal. However, due to the blackout dates and lack of flexibility with these deals, I would not take advantage of it unless I had a Las Vegas trip planned.
October 20, 2021: Daily Getaways Marriott
Daily Getaways will offer discounted Marriott gift cards on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. You can purchase:
A $100 Marriott gift card for $80
A $250 Marriott gift card for $200
A $500 Marriott gift card for $400
This deal is as good as cash and could be a great deal.
Are Daily Getaways worth the cost?
Based on the information I have seen so far, I'm not sure I will be as engaged with this year's Daily Getaways offers.
Hilton Honors points and IHG Rewards points can be sold at the same price as they would be during a promotion. Some people might still enjoy the chance to buy points even if they haven't bought all the points allowed by a program in one year. Daily Getaways purchases don't count towards this limit.
Choice Privileges or World of Hyatt Points will be sold at a lower price than they would be directly during a promotion. However, I don't have a need to purchase Choice Privileges points and World of Hyatt point promotions are more like a lottery due to the amount of interest.
Wyndham Rewards points can be sold for a higher price than Wyndham Rewards directs them when there is a promotion
The stay certificates are too restrictive for me to bother with.
Although the Marriott gift cards may be a great deal, there is generally quite a lot of competition.
Hilton points discounted with Daily Getaways
What credit card should be used for Daily Getaways purchases
Daily Getaways processes Daily Getaways purchases, not the travel company or program from which you are purchasing points or travel packages. Your credit card will not show that your purchases were made directly with a travel company.
Good news: The Travel Travel Agencies merchant category of Daily Getaways has historically been Travel Travel Agencies. This means that cards that offer travel bonus points have always offered bonus points for these purchases.
You could therefore earn bonus points for purchases made with the following cards:

Bottom line
After being suspended for two springs because of the pandemic, the Daily Getaways promotion will be back in fall 2021. Daily Getaways will now be available between October 7 and October 20, with a new offer each weekday. While some of these offers might be interesting to people, I'm not too excited about them.
