Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud), now fully powered with custom Xbox Series X hardware. Microsoft informs The Verge that it has just completed an upgrade which increases frame rates and speeds up game loading times for Xbox gamers streaming games via the internet.
Microsoft has increased Xbox Cloud Gaming's bandwidth to 60fps and 1080p in recent months. However, it has not yet tapped the full potential of the Xbox Series X custom hardware to provide 4K streaming. Microsoft is moving to deliver Xbox Cloud Gaming beyond mobile devices, although it is not yet clear when.
Microsoft is currently developing an Xbox app for TVs, which will allow Xbox users to stream games from their consoles. It is also possible to plug in standalone streaming devices to your TV or monitor.
Xbox Cloud Gaming was initially designed to allow users to play mobile games, but its integration with the Xbox dashboard and TVs will make it more than a mobile option. Microsoft has begun to integrate Xbox Cloud Gaming into its new Xbox website. Microsoft recently extended Xbox Cloud Gaming to Australia Brazil Mexico Mexico and Japan shortly after completing a custom Xbox Series X hardware update for the service. Microsoft's xCloud tech now is available in 26 countries. The company previously hinted that it might soon offer additional subscriptions for Xbox Game Pass.
