Though its been some time since Legends of Tomorrow counted villain-turned-begrudging hero Captain Cold among its ranks following his death in the shows season one finale, its never taken all that much for characters to be miraculously resurrected in the CWs universe of DC superhero shows.

Leonard Snart's legacy, or as he was known, lives on in the Arrowverse. He is well-known for being one of the Legends most valuable members, who was willing and able to sacrifice his life to save others. Legends of Tomorrow will be celebrating its 100th episode in this fall. Snarts will make a full-on return with Wentworth Miller reprising his role.
Phil Klemmer, Legends of Tomorrow's executive producer, explained to TVLine how season seven will feature Gideon, an artificial intelligence controlling Legends ship. It reminisces about the many adventures it has had over the years. Klemmer said that it made sense to have the retrospective episode from Gideon's perspective, as Gideon was the only Legend with perfect recall and was always there for everyone.
Klemmer stated that Sara Lance was there right from the beginning. There were many things she didn't see. We were excited to go back through seasons and track the evolution of the show through Gideon's eyes.
Gideons will also gain a new form of physical humanoid. This is portrayed by Amy Louise Pemberton who has voiced the character previously in seasons. It's likely that Gideons past memories will be part of the story about how it gets its new body. It will be interesting to see if the next episode follows the Marvels What If? route, or if it puts more energy into revealing details that only Gideon knew about.
Legends of Tomorrow's seventh season premieres October 13.
