According to some reports, the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card welcome bonus of 100K points is ending. According to TPG, a Chase spokesperson confirmed that the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card will offer 100K points as a welcome bonus today (Wednesday October 6, 2002). Now is the best time to apply if you don't have the card.
We are seeing the best bonus ever on one of the most well-respected travel rewards credit card cards, but it has also been subject to major positive changes that make it even more attractive.
Chase Sapphire Preferred offers 100,000 points
The Chase Sapphire Preferred offers the most generous publicly available bonus on any card. After spending $4,000 in three months, you can get a 100,000 Ultimate Rewards point bonus. The card previously offered a record bonus bonus of 80,000 points. Prior to that, we had a bonus bonus of 60,000 points.

Ultimate Rewards points can only be redeemed for travel at a minimum of 1.25c each. 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points will earn you at least $1250 in travel. Because of the many ways you can redeem Ultimate Rewards points, I personally value them at 1.7c each, so this bonus is worth $1,700.
With 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points, you can book a lot of amazing travel!
Who is eligible to receive the Chase Sapphire Preferred bonus
Chase Sapphire Preferred can be approved if you:
You don't currently hold a Chase Sapphire (Preferred or Reserve).
In the last 48 months, you have not received a Chase Sapphire Reserve or Preferred cardmember bonus.
This is determined by whether you are the primary cardmember of one of these cards. If you are currently an authorized user (or were one in the past), then you would be eligible. Keep in mind the general rules for applying for Chase cards, such as the 5/24 rule. For more information on the eligibility requirements for Sapphire Preferred, see this post.

The card also received a refresh. This makes it more rewarding and makes it the best mid-range credit card.
Chase Sapphire Preferred is not available yet, so you should apply for it while you can.
