Rangers lost 1-0 against Sparta Prague in Czech Republic

Uefa will investigate possible discriminatory incidents in Rangers' Europa League defeat at Sparta Prague.

Glen Kamara, a Rangers midfielder, was mocked by home fans before being expelled in the match on Thursday.

Sparta, however, released a statement stating that "unfounded allegations" of racism were "desperately ridiculous".

Ondrej Kudla of Sparta's Slavia Prague racially abused the Finland international last season. Kudela was banned from competing in the European 10-match tournament.

After Uefa had to close the stadium due to racist chanting from Sparta fans at Monaco's Aurelien Tuchouameni, the match between Rangers and Sparta was played in front 10,000 children and their chaperones.

Steven Gerrard, Rangers manager, indicated that the Ibrox club would make an official complaint against Uefa regarding the treatment of Kamara. Kamara was dismissed after picking up two bookings.
