Urban Meyer, the Jacksonville Jaguars' head coach, is in danger of losing his support following a viral video that showed a woman dancing on him at an Ohio bar.

Michael Silver from NFL Network reported Tuesday that the situation reached a "crisis" following Meyer's cancellation of Monday's team meeting amid backlash. According to one player, Meyer was too scared to face the whole squad so he instead apologized to them in meetings with their position groups.

Silver was told by a Jags player that he has "zero credibility" in that stadium. He had very little to start with.

Shad Khan, Jaguars owner, released a statement stating Meyer's behavior was "inexcusable" but pointing out that the coach must "regain" trust with the team.

According to Michael Lombardi, The Daily Coach, Jacksonville executives met for two days closed-door about coach status after the video was released.

Meyer was hired January 1, after a two year hiatus in coaching. Meyer spent more than 30 years coaching college teams, including as the head coach at Bowling Green and Utah. He was a winner of three national championships with the Gators, one with the Buckeyes and two with the Buckeyes.

With the Jags' selection, as the first overall pick, of Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback for the 2021 NFL Draft, his arrival gave hope that the franchise was on the right track to a major turnaround after last year's 1-15 record. They are now 0-4, and have to deal with Meyer's drama.

He was a 57-year-old Ohioan who is married and has three children. He was able to spend quality time with his grandchildren.

He said that his family had gone out to dinner and that another group recognized him. They asked him to take photos and encouraged him to join them at the dance floor. He admitted that it was a bad decision to stay at the establishment.

Meyer apologized to Khan, his family, and the Jaguars players.

KOA Colorado's Benjamin Allbright reported that Meyer will be kept by the Jags "for now," but that they have discussed contingency plans in case they need a replacement.

Jacksonville will host the Tennessee Titans Sunday at TIAA Field. Next, the team will travel to London to take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 6.

In Week 7, the Jaguars are off.
