Super Smash Bros will be getting the final new fighter. Ultimate was revealed to be Sora, a Kingdom Hearts player. The event was hosted by Masahiro Sakurai (game director), and culminated with some potentially more important news. Three mainline Kingdom Hearts titles will be coming to Nintendo Switch. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III are all included.
All three titles will be delivered via Cloud Streaming instead of native ports. This means they won't be saved locally on your Switch. During the stream, Nintendo displayed the games running on PlayStation 4.
Sakurai said that prices and release dates were not revealed during the stream. However, he stated that they would announce the date later. It is difficult to predict how Kingdom Hearts will feel and look when streamed online instead of being played locally. Control and other games have cloud versions for Switch as well, which was not as disappointing as I had feared.
Nintendo may offer a free trial period to Kingdom Hearts if it receives similar treatment. This is to ensure that your internet connection can handle the game.
