Since arriving from Monaco in August 2017, Mbappe (left), has scored 136 goals in 182 games for PSG.

Kylian Mbappe said he spoke with Neymar, a Paris St-Germain team-mate, about a disparaging comment he made last month about the Brazilian.

After Montpellier was replaced, the 22-year old was heard exclaiming "This bum, he never passes me" externally-link.

"Yes, yes, that's what I said. These are football things that happen every day," Mbappe, a France striker, said.

"I talked to him immediately after, when I saw how large it had grown."

PSG beat Montpellier 2-0 in the Ligue 1 match, before beating Manchester City 2-0 in a Champions League group match.

Mbappe, an external-link, said in an interview with L'Equipe: "We've exchanged many words like that in past and will continue to do so because we want win, but there shouldn't need to be any hard feelings."

"There is no resentment because I respect the man and the player, and I admire his achievements."

RMC Sport had heard Mbappe tell RMC Sport that he had "asked" to leave PSG amid Real Madrid's interest in the summer. Mbappe then spoke to L'Equipe to say that no negotiations have taken place to renew his contract beyond next year.

He said, "I've been playing football for long enough to know that yesterdays truths are not necessarily todays or tomorrows."

"If I was told [Lionel] Messi would play at PSG, it would be a lie. You never know what's going on."

Mbappe said that "Right now my future isn't my priority." It was exhausting and I have already wasted a lot this summer.
