Life on Venus may have only been possible for its first billion years

Although Venus was habitable for a fraction of a century less than originally thought, it is still long enough to allow life to evolve.

Carbon dioxide is the main component of the planet's atmosphere. Its surface is too hot to produce liquid water. Dennis Hning, VU Amsterdam, Netherlands, and his collaborators modelled the formation of Venus' atmosphere.

Research has shown that this could be the case.
