Ji-Sung Park, a former Manchester United player, has asked his supporters to stop singing a song that includes a negative racial stereotype of Korean people.
Park doesn't believe that the fans meant to offend by the chant, which includes a reference to Koreans eating dogs meat, but he does believe it makes Korean players feel uncomfortable.
Park claims that some United supporters sang the song in support of Wolves' new signing HeeChan Hwang - a South Korean international who signed from RB Leipzig during the summer - during their match at Molineux in august.
He said, "If I'm being truthful, I should probably speak up louder this time," to the UTD podcast.
"In that period (when I was a United player), 15 years ago, everything had changed from Holland and England. I had to adapt and begin from zero. When I first heard the song, I was very proud because it was written for me.

"But when it came to the lyric about eating dog meat, it was very uncomfortable.
"I was young and didn't know much about the culture, so I had to accept it. I didn't think the fans would create songs with negative meanings. They make songs to provide energy for the players. This is my thought. This is why I accepted it.
"But time has moved on, and it's now 15 years later. Perhaps I was listening to one the Korean Wolves players last summer and hearing my song being sung by the United fans, I felt the need to do something.

"Even in Korea, it has changed a lot. True, dog meat has been eaten by people for centuries. They hate it, especially the younger generation. Although it was once there, you can no longer find it. The culture is changing.
"So, I really regret that he heard that. Although I understand that the United fans did not mean any offense to him, I must educate the fans about the dangers of using the word "United" as a racial insult against the Korean people. It's not cheering someone up anymore and it will cause them more discomfort.
Park scored 27 goals between 2005-2012 in more than 200 matches for Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson signed Park from PSV Eindhoven. He then went on to play at QPR.
