Stephanie Grisham stated that she and the other Trump staffers were not concerned about "serving our country."
Grisham said that Trump White House staffers were "heady with power" according to ABC News.
Grisham was Trump's press secretary, communications director, and top aide to Melania Trump.

Stephanie Grisham is a former White House aide and said that she and her fellow Trump staffers were not concerned about "serving the nation" but rather focused on gaining power in Trump’s chaotic White House.
In her forthcoming memoir "I'll Answer Your Questions Now," Grisham, who was White House press secretary and communications chief, is harsh about her former boss. Grisham blamed herself for enabling the president she described as dishonest and incompetent during an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America" with George Stephanopoulos.
"Many of those who got into the White House became heady with power, and became really - it wasn't about serving the country anymore. It was about surviving in that place," Grisham stated.
Grisham said that Trump's White House was always in chaos. She also wrote at one point that it was "like a clown car on fire, running at full speed into a warehouse filled with fireworks." Stephanopoulos told her that Trump "loved chaos."
Grisham was a Trump campaign associate and served as his deputy press secretary during the 2016 campaign. She then moved to Melania Trump's staff. Grisham stated that she was protected from the chaos in the West Wing until her appointment as White House press secretary in summer 2019.
Stephanopoulos was told by her that she first saw the West Wing when she went. She regretted this decision right away.

Melania Trump issued a new statement Monday bashing Grisham as "a deceitful, troubled individual who doesn’t deserve anyone’s trust." In a statement released last week, the former president also criticised Grisham.
Grisham claimed she was expecting to be condemned by the Trumps but she said that she had the receipts to support her claims.
