9to5Google reported that YouTube now offers a quick way to switch between your smartphone and your desktop while watching videos. A mini-player will appear in the bottom corner of YouTube when you open it on the internet. Instead of showing the channel name like it normally does, the title is now displayed underneath.
The play button can be clicked to start the mini-player. Or you can expand the window to view the video. This feature allows you to quickly access a video that you have already watched, such as a train ride home. If you didn't check "watch later", you would have to go to your history and retrieve the video.
Although the feature seems to be available to users, I was unable to view it in France while I am part of YouTube's Android beta test program. The new feature could take some time to reach your area.
