Dr. Anthony Fauci is the nation's leading infectious disease expert and he supports California Governor. Gavin Newsom has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for schoolchildren.

"I agree with Gov. Fauci stated that Newsom had done in California during a CBS interview. "People must realize that having schools require vaccinations isn't a novel or unique thing. This has been done for many decades."

Gov. Governor. After the US Food and Drug Administration has approved COVID-19 for children, it will be in effect from January 1, or July 1, 2022. Insider's Charles Davis reported.

Fauci said, "When we see the pushback on this, it's almost as if nothing has ever happened before." It's happening with other vaccines so let's make it happen with a very, very serious virus.

Others opposed the idea. West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice stated that there is "no possibility" that he would make it mandatory.

Justice stated on Sunday's Face The Nation that mandates "only divide us" and "only make us more divided." "From the perspective of mandates I don't believe that we should impose upon our freedoms, over-and-over." "I've repeated it so many times that I don't even know how many times.

He said, "From the perspective of our children, i'm going to continue to encourage in every way, because I believe that the greater the number of people vaccinated, then the more people will live. We still have to be true to ourselves.
