Crystal Palace 2-2 Leicester City: Brendan Rodgers' side throw away two-goal lead

Jeffrey Schlupp's goal in 48 seconds is the fastest goal scored by a substitute player in the Premier League this year

Leicester lost a lead of two goals as Crystal Palace pulled back to draw at Selhurst Park with the Foxes.

With a stunning volley past Kasper Schmiechel, Michael Olise, a substitute for Palace's teenage goalkeeper, pulled the goal back after Palace went into the break down 2-0.

Jeffrey Schlupp, a former Leicester player, added another just 48 seconds after he was introduced. He sailed past Schmeichel with his second touch.

Brendan Rodgers' team opened the scoring against the flow of play when Kelechi Andersen made a mistake and scored before Vicente Guaita won on 31 minutes.

Six minutes later, Jamie Vardy added another with a cool finish by Harvey Barnes' assistance.

Palace won the draw, meaning they remain unbeaten at Selhurst Park. Patrick Vieira is the Eagles' first manager to win in all four Premier League home games.

This is the first time that Leicester has failed to win a Premier League match in which they led by at least two goals at the half-time. Their winless streak in the competition now stands at four games.

Subs Save the Day for Palace

Palace conceded a goal in the 95th minute against Brighton rivals, but looked poised to rebound and dominated possession.

Two early shots by the Eagles were made in quick succession. However, Conor Gallagher and Wilfried Zaha had their sights set quickly.

Iheanacho, who was celebrating his 25th birthday, took the ball from Andersen. He kept his cool and scored his first Premier League goal.

Six minutes later, Barnes had two options, Iheanacho on his right and Vardy on his left. Vardy was his choice, and he took a touch before sidefooting in Leicester’s second.

With six goals in seven Premier League games this season, the 34-year old is now the Premier League's top goalscorer. He has scored 90 goals since turning 30.

Palace won the first half with a convincing victory. Odsonne Edouard was close behind Palace, but he crashed his attempt against the crossbar after cutting through Jannik Vestergaard and Caglar Soyuncu.

Finally, they find a breakthrough after Olise, 19, replaces Jordan Ayew in the second period, saw his first attempt from Tyrick Mitchell's cross blocked. He then brilliantly scored the rebound past Schmeichel.

Olise, aged 19 years and 295 day, is the first teenager to score in the Premier League for Palace since Clinton Morrison's May 1998 victory.

The home crowd was lifted by that goal and it felt like they were in one direction. Vieira made his substitutions and Selhurst Park was in awe when Schlupp scored the equaliser for his former side.

After 48 seconds, his goal is second fastest by a substitute in this season's Premier League. Edouard scored against Tottenham in 29 seconds.

Schlupp was close to scoring a second goal in the final three minutes of time but his attempt fell short. The sides settled for a point.
