Who would have thought that Carson Wentz would be a good fit for Indy?
Although I understand that change of scenery is good for many people, I didn't believe it could make Wentz a Super Bowl contender. I find it absurd that people in the national media would expect Wentz to be so good just because he was traded.

He has talent all around him. Indy has a great football team, according to Dan Orlovsky. He probably lies on his bed looking at the Carson Wentz Fathead from his ceiling. This was an 11-5 football team from last year. It is the same team as back in 2004, but it is more talented. The expectation is that Carson Wentz will win the division and be a champion.
Stephen A. Smith stated that 2017 is the standard, not 2019. He believes he can achieve it.
Although I'm not a Wentz fan at all, I do believe he can save his career with the coach who was his coordinator in Philadelphia. He is behind the offensive line which might be the best in the NFL and the running game, which just happens to be right up there at top of the league. You have a chance if you have all of these components.
Aaaaand 0-3. AKA Jets-Giants–Lions territory. Although the Colts might still turn the tide, at 0-3, you can count out the playoffs. This is the minimum requirement for winning a playoff match as Orlovsky believed.
The Skip Bayless quote, which is some of the soft support for Wentz, basically says that he will be a great team. However it also points out a lot the reasons people believed that Wentz would revitalize his career. Quentin Nelson is unable to protect the quarterback and can't make the throws.
Let's do a little exercise in critical thinking. I know it sounds pretentious, but bear with me. There are two quarterbacks, QB A or QB B. QBA is bad but QBB B took QBB's starting job. QB B would be a bad choice, it seems. It's worse than QB B.

Prepare to be blown away. QB A is Jalen Hults, QB B Carson Wentz. This is the main reason I have never understood the Wentz hype. Many times, the same people who claimed that Wentz would become an MVP candidate were also the ones who stated that Jalen Hurts days in Philadelphia are over. Wentz was so bad, he was even benched by Hurts. It feels like I'm screaming into the void here. Perhaps I'm the crazy one.
This exercise in critical thinking was mostly directed at Dan Orlovsky who stated this on Pat McAfee's show: They are not as close as players. As a player, Carson Wentz is superior to Carson Wentz.

I repeat: Wentz was benched because of Hurts! Daniel, you worship a false prophet!
It all comes down to the roster. Indys are way better than Phillys, and that will make all of the difference. Wentz's QBR was 41.9 last year, which placed him 28th among qualified players. He is now 38.9 after combining the O-line and running game with the receivers and former coordinator.

Wait.
This is because he's not that good. This also shows that he is trailing Jalen Hurts' 41.2 QBR this season, since Hurts quit his job for good.

I don't mean to be critical of Wentz. Even though he did not play in the Super Bowl, he is still a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. He was on the roster, and played a major role in getting them there. It is absurd to pretend he's still the same guy when all evidence points to the contrary.
