Transfer Marriott Points To Etihad With 50% Bonus

Etihad Guest is a valuable frequent flyer program. Etihad Guest points can be easily earned through transferrable point programs such as Amex Membership Rewards and Citi ThankYou. Etihad Guest also has hotel transfer partners that allow you to convert hotel points into Etihad mile.
Convert Marriott Bonvoy points to Etihad Guest miles and receive a bonus. It won't be worthwhile for everyone, especially those who live in the United States and have credit cards. However, for some people it could make sense.

Convert Marriott Bonvoy points to Etihad Guest Miles at a ratio of 3:1. You get a bonus 5,000 miles for every 60,000. This means that 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points can be converted into Etihad Guest miles at a 3:1 ratio. You also get a 50% bonus during the promotion, which will give you a total of 37.500 Etihad miles.

This means that you receive 1.0 Etihad guest miles for every 1.6 Marriott Bonvoy point, which is an excellent transfer rate. To give you an idea of the value, Marriott Bonvoy points are valued at 0.7c each and Etihad guest miles at 1.2c each. These valuations don't fully account for the following:

Marriott Bonvoy points allow you to have a lot of flexibility (given your airline transfer partners), while Etihad guest miles don't.

Transferable points currencies make it easy to earn Etihad guest miles, but it's not so easy to earn Marriott Bonvoy point efficiently outside of hotel stays

Although there is potential for good value when a specific purpose is being considered, I personally wouldn't give up the flexibility of a hotel currency if I had a compelling reason.

Earn Etihad Guest Miles for Royal Air Maroc Business Class

Bottom line

You can currently transfer Marriott Bonvoy points into Etihad Guest for a 50% bonus. This deal could work well if you have a specific purpose for your points, but I wouldn't recommend speculatively transferring any points.

Etihad Guest Miles can offer great value when traveling on Etihad. The airline also has useful airline partners like Air Serbia and Royal Air Maroc.
