DeChambeau scored 2.5 points in the USA's Ryder Cup victory over Europe last week

After having won the Professional Longest Drive Association World Championship, Bryson de Chambeau lost in the final.

The American 28-year old was eliminated after he ran 391 yards. However, he managed to run 218 miles an hour in Nevada.

Compatriot Kyle Berkshire won with a 422-yard drive.

DeChambeau was eliminated after three rounds of elimination to reach the final eight from a field that included 128 competitors.

After hitting a 416 yard drive, the 2020 US Open winner was awarded a final spot. This is just one yard shy of his incredible effort at last week's Ryder Cup.

DeChambeau has gained weight over the years, as he pursues greater ball speed and thus more distance off the tee. He was also the first full-time PGA Tour professional who attempted the long drive challenge.

He complained of blisters and hand pains while practicing for the Ryder Cup championship.
