Samsung starts removing ads from its One UI Android Apps

Samsung has removed ads from its first-party mobile applications, as promised earlier this year. Today, Samsung Pay, Weather and Theme won't allow you to see advertisements from the company. The first reports of the change started to circulate on Samsung's Community Forum in South Korea. 9to5Google, TizenHelp and others later discovered the posts. Engadget witnessed the change happen when we updated our software on one of the Galaxy Flip 3 review units.

You won't see any banner ads in almost all apps. Samsung Pay is the exception to this rule. There's a section on the main interface that's dedicated to special offers. However, it makes sense within the context of the software. You can force-stop Android to restart your Pay, Weather, Health, and Theme apps if you see any ads on your Samsung smartphone.
