Marcus Rashford: Manchester United forward returns to full training

Marcus Rashford was last seen for Manchester United in the Europa League finals in May

Marcus Rashford, Manchester United forward, took part in full training Friday for the first-time since undergoing shoulder surgery.

Since being substituted in the Euro 2020 final, the 23-year-old England international hasn't played.

The shoulder problem had plagued him for several months. He underwent an operation in August.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United manager, said that Marcus had been fully trained today with contact.

"There were some tackles on him, but he seemed fine. That was nice to see."

Solskjaer criticized the timing of Premier League matches at Old Trafford (12:30 BST) during a press conference.

United defeated Villarreal in Wednesday's Champions League, but will play again less 72 hours later. Liverpool and Manchester City, who both played in Europe Tuesday, will meet in the league this Sunday.

Solskjaer stated that they had no explanation but it was TV. "There is no common sense. The same situation occurred last season, when we were in Turkey. We came back to play.

"Us and Chelsea played on Wednesday, and could easily have played on Sunday, while City-Liverpool could've been played on Saturday.

"Common sense may not be so common."
