Amex Offers has just launched a new, targeted offer to purchase Air France-KLM flight tickets. This could be worth looking into for anyone who is planning on traveling. Similar offers were offered last summer so it is nice to see the return.
20K points earned for an Air France-KLM flight
You can get 20,000 Membership Rewards points for every $1,000 you spend with Air France-KLM between October 31st, 2021 and October 31, 2021 by completing a targeted Amex Offers.
There may also be a $200 back offer if you spend $1,000. Personally, I prefer the points offer because I value Amex points at just 1.7 cents per point (which means that this offer is 70% more valuable to me). The equivalent of 34% back, the 20,000 bonus point are worth $340. Wow!
Be aware of these terms:
Bookings must be made directly through the Air France website or app.
The flight must originate in the United States.
You must book your travel before October 31, 2021. However, it is okay to travel on later dates
Air France offers the following: Air France Music, Air France Saphir and Air France Shopping are excluded. Convention, conference and seminar services include baggage drop off, group reservation, La Boutique Air France and parking. Stress Free Flying Workshop, Flight Crew Training, and the Flying Blue Store are also excluded.
KLM Package Deals, City Pass Amsterdam and hotel bookings are excluded from the offer.
Air France-KLM has a flexible booking policy, which is something I was just thinking about. You could lock in travel, and then receive a voucher for future travel. This deal is not available to me.

This offer is very targeted and you may see it on several of your Amex cards. This offer is available to Amex Platinum Card holders only. The Amex Platinum Card offers 5x points for airfare purchases made directly with airlines.
At 1.7 cents per Membership Rewards point, I consider them worth 8.5% more. The Amex Platinum also offers great travel protection in the event of an irregular operation.
This means that if you used the Amex Platinum to purchase a $1,000 ticket, you would earn 25,000 Membership Rewards points. This is amazing.
