U.S. Olympic swimmer Klete Keller pleads guilty in Jan. 6 Trump Capitol riot case

Klete Keller, a two-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer, pleaded guilty Wednesday in one criminal case related to his participation at the Jan. 6 riot by Trump supporters at the U.S. Capitol.

After prosecutors at the U.S. District Court, Washington, D.C. agreed to dismiss six additional criminal charges against Keller in February, Keller pleaded guilty to obstruction of an official proceeding.

Kelly was captured in a Twitter video showing him at the Capitol in a jacket that had the letters "USA” on the back.

Keller's crowd pushed against police officers trying to clear the Rotunda at the Capitol.

Keller will be sentenced later. Keller will be sentenced at a later date. The sentence he pleaded guilty to is between 21 and 27 years in prison. However, a judge may not sentence him within this range.
