Although we have just seen one Star Wars series and another on the way this week (and there are more), one Star Wars show that fans have been eagerly awaiting since The Mandalorian's second season is still not available. We will have to wait a while longer. Boba Fett sneaks his way into the year with his own TV show.

Today, Disney announced that The Book of Boba Fett will be streaming on Disney+ starting December 29. It stars Temuera Morrison, the titular, iconic Bounty Hunter, as well as Ming-Na Wen, his accomplice, Fennec Shawd. The announcement was accompanied by a new poster featuring Fett sitting on the former throne at Bib Fortuna's Tatooine palace.
We only know a little about the series, other than what we saw at the end of The Mandalorian season 2. This left us with Fett & Shand as they went to Tatooine in order to depose Bib Fortuna after he overtook Jabbas's rule following the events of Return of the Jedi. That's all Disney and Lucasfilm have to say for now. The poster shows Boba sitting in Bibs throne and the new series description from the studio does not go beyond that. The thrilling Star Wars adventure is described in a Lucasfilm press release. It includes: [The Book of Boba Fett] shows Boba Fett, the legendary bounty hunter, and Fennec Shand, the mercenary, navigating the Galaxy's underworld as they attempt to claim the territory once ruled over by Jabba The Hutt and his crime syndicate.
Boba and Fennec may find some time between their hectic sitting schedules to film some projects. They will be executive produced by The Mandalorians Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. Robert Rodriguez will also be joining them as Lucasfilms Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck as co-producers. John Bartnicki and John Hampian are producing. The Book of Boba Fett will be available on Disney+ from December 29.
