Apple says the iPad mini's 'jelly scrolling' problem is normal

People complained about a strange jelly-like effect that their iPad minis displayed when scrolling. The screen appears to be wobbling because one side scrolls faster than the other. Apple has assured Ars Technica that the screen wobbling issue is not a problem.
According to a spokesperson, the jelly-like effect that people see is normal for LCD screens because they refresh line after line. It's not unusual for the lines at top and bottom of the LCD screen to refresh at different rates. Ars Technica claims that this effect is more noticeable on the iPad mini, than on other 60Hz LCD iPads. This includes the entry-level model, which was released with the mini. When the tablet is in portrait mode, there is a line that divides the screen.

It is unclear if Apple will address the jelly scrolling issue in the future. This is despite people complaining about it. It appears that the tech giant is stating that this is normal for LCD screens and that users can just get used to it.
