After Splitting From Elon Musk, Grimes Says She’s Starting a “Lesbian Space Commune”

Unless you've been living under a rock, or in a beautiful corner on the internet blissfully unaware that Elon Musk news has broken out, chances are you don't know that Claire Grimes Boucher, a musician and billionaire SpaceX CEO partner, split up recently.
Musk revealed to Page Six that although we are now semi-separated, we still love one another, see each other often, and are great friends.

Grimes now says that she will be using her new freedom in a bold and characteristically hyperbolic manner.

She told Page Six that she will be colonizing Europa [one of Jupiter's moons] separately from Elon to create a lesbian space commune.

The details about the lesbian space commune are still sparse and it is not clear if Musk will be allowed in. We don't know if Shell will be taking her child X-A-12 with her. We are happy for her.

Grimes could also be referring to a contract NASA and SpaceX signed earlier this summer to assist the agency in investigating if the icy moon can host life.

It is more likely that she refers to her forthcoming album, which will be a space opera about an AI lesbian.

Grimes is not the only one to speak out about her ambitious plans for deep space exploration. She suggested in a February 2020 interview that she would like to upload her consciousness and allow it to live in a humanoid vessel that allows it to speak and move freely. Then that body could travel to Mars and other worlds with my mind.

In March, she wrote "Ready to die with Mars' red dirt beneath my feet" in an Instagram caption. This caption was attached to a photo of her at SpaceXs Starbase facility in South Texas.

Like Musk, Grimes is ready to take on the stars, together or separately.
