Ferrari Announces Multi-Year Partnership With Apple's Former Design Chief Jony Ive

Ferrari and Exor, its parent company, today announced a multiyear creative partnership with LoveFrom. LoveFrom was co-founded by Jony Ive (Apple's former design chief) and Marc Newson (a fellow designer).

In a press release, Ferrari announced that the new partnership would bring together Ferrari's legendary performance as well as excellence and LoveFrom's unrivalled creativity and experience that have created extraordinary products. LoveFrom will collaborate with Exor on a variety of creative projects outside of the Ferrari collaboration.

Ive and Newson jointly stated that they were Ferrari collectors and Ferrari owners, and couldn't be more excited to collaborate with this exceptional company, and in particular the design team led by Flavio Mannzoni." "We see unique opportunities to work together that we believe will lead to valuable and important work."

Ive will also be joining Exor's Partners Council. This group shares ideas and looks into potential business opportunities.

Apple announced in June 2019 that Ive would be leaving the company to start LoveFrom. Apple stated at the time that it would continue to be one of Ive’s primary clients. However, it is unclear what Apple products he helped design since then. Apple confirmed that Ive was part of the design of the 24-inch iMac, but Apple didn't confirm if any of this work took place after Ive left.

I have reportedly recruited at most four of his Apple colleagues to join LoveFrom. Last year, Airbnb announced a multiyear partnership with the design company.
