Backbone offers 3D-printed solution for iPhone 13 Pro camera bump issue

Backbone Labs acknowledged that the iPhone 13 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max have a problem with their excellent gaming controller. We noticed that the thicker camera bump on the iPhone 13 Pro means that the phone does not fit in the Backbone One controller properly. It either sticks out from one side or causes the bridge to buckle slightly. Although it is usable, it is not ideal.
Backbone One was meticulously crafted (both bits and Atoms), and we even designed universal support for all iPhones that were available at the time, according to a representative of Backbone in a Reddit post. We were therefore disappointed with the current situation. Many members of the team upgraded to 13 Pro Max to enjoy a better gaming experience. However, the fit is not as great as we would like.

Backbone created an adapter to address this issue. It is designed to enhance the iPhone 13 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max user experience. The company states that it can't mass-produce them immediately due to supply constraints and COVID-19. However, the adapter design will still be available as an open-source, 3D printable file. Backbone states that if you don't have a 3D printer, we will do our best to send the adapter to those who contact us.

You can upload the printable files online within a few days. We'll let you know how it works once we have.
