KABC-TV reported that authorities are intensifying their efforts in finding Lauren Cho, a 30-year-old woman who vanished three months ago.
Cho, a New Jersey resident, was last seen leaving her Yucca Valley home, California residence, shortly after 5 p.m., the San Bernadino County Sheriff's Department reported.
According to the department Cho is an Asian woman with brown eyes and black hair. She stands at 5'3" and was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt and jean pants.
"Investigators from San Bernardino County Sheriff's Specialized Investigations Division are supporting the Morongo Basin Station to locate Lauren Cho," the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Department stated in a press release. "Investigators are currently investigating all leads and working together with Ms. Cho's family and friends. As more leads become available, future search operations will be conducted.
Cho was a high-school music teacher in New Jersey when she left her job to move with her friend to California. According to July's Hi-Desert Star, the duo traveled across the country together in the Hi-Desert Star.
Cody Orell explained to the outlet that she wanted to "move from the East Coast and experience freedom." "She quit her job, and she moved in the bus with me."
Orell, who was the last person to see Cho, stated that he returned into the bus after she left, having become upset and "evaporated", he told Hi Desert-Star.
According to a sheriff's report, she was seen walking towards the hills between Yucca Valley and Morongo Valley, without any water, food or cellphone. According to the report, her friends tried to find her but were unsuccessful and alerted authorities.
