The eagerly awaited prequel series to League of Legends' multiplayer battle arena game, League of Legends, is near! Netflix released a new trailer for Arcane as part of the fun, but miserably named Tudum Event. It will tell the story of the origins and fate of the fan-favorite Champions Jinx, Viand, and how they became such enemies.
Jinx is a Joker-esque agent of Chaos in the game. However, we can see from the trailer and the League of Legends canon that she wasn't always like this. According to her official biography, most people see Jinx as a crazy woman with a lot of dangerous weapons. However, some remember Jinx as a young Zauna girl who had big ideas and didn't fit in. Nobody knows what made that sweet little girl into a wildcard known for her wilful acts of destruction.

Vis's origin is equally mysterious. Vi doesn't remember much about her childhood in Zaun. She wishes she didn't. ... She couldn't find any information from her parents from the old-timers of her youth. Many assumed that they had died in an industrial accident, which was unfortunately all too common in the city. Although she ended up at the Hope House orphanage, a famously mad sump-scrapper claimed that she found her lost in a large bassinet big enough to hold two people in the wreckage of a chem-lab.
According to current canon, there isn't much that seems to connect the two except for Jinx continually targeting Vi, the Piltover city enforcer, during her many crimes, heists and acts of destruction. Their origins are clearly tied together through both good and bad times. Arcane seems to be exploring that more. Arcane will debut on Netflix November 6, featuring Hailee Steinfeld playing Vi, Ella Purnell portraying Jinx, Kevin Alejandro portraying Jayce, Katie Leung portraying Caitlyn and Jason Spisak as Silco. Toks Olagundoye portrays Mel, JB blanc as Vander and Harry Lloyd as Viktor.
