JACKSONVILLE (Fla.) -- Jamal Agnew, Jaguars kick returner, now has one the longest plays in NFL history. As the first half ended at TIAA Field, Agnew returned Matt Prater’s missed 68 yard field goal attempt for a 109 yard touchdown.

Prater holds the NFL record for the longest field goal at 64 yards. This was set by the Denver Broncos in 2013. Kliff Kingsbury, Cardinals coach, decided Prater would attempt a 68 yarder instead of having quarterback Kyler Murray throw an Hail Mary with just two seconds left in the first period.

The kick was not long and Agnew caught the ball with his feet right in front of where it was supposed to be. Agnew headed to the left sideline, breaking tackles by Max Garcia, Demetrius Harris, at his 20- and 40 yard lines. He also picked up key blocks from Malcom Brown, Josh Allen, and Shaquill Griffin, who escorted him for the last 30 yards.

However, the Jaguars lost Sunday's match 31-19.

Agnew's touchdown is the third at 109 yards in NFL history. Cordarrelle Patterson kicked a kickoff in 2013 and Antonio Cromartie missed a field goal in 2007. Cromartie was also the NFL's last kicksix.

Agnew had a 102 yard kickoff return in Week 2. He is now the ninth NFL player to have multiple 100-yard returns in the one season. Patterson was the last one to achieve this feat (2013).
