Clemson dropped to No. Clemson fell to No. 25 in The Associated Press college poll on Sunday. This snapped its streak of 97 consecutive weeks in the top 10.
The Tigers (2-2) lost in double overtime to North Carolina State on Saturday. They also dropped 16 places from No. Regions Bank presents the AP Top 25.
Clemson's streak of top-10 finishes was tied with Alabama's for longest run in college football. It also ranks second in the history AP poll's history, after Miami's 137 in 1985-93.

The Crimson Tide was No. 1. With 58 first-place votes from 62. No. 2 Georgia was awarded the four remaining first-place votes. Oregon stayed No. 3. Penn State moved up 2 spots to No. 4, Iowa remained at No. 5, Iowa held the No. 6.
Cincinnati moved up one spot to No. 7 and Arkansas moved up eight places to No. 8 after beating Texas A&M. The Razorbacks are at their highest ranking since being No. 8 in the 2012 season.
Arkansas lost the second game of that season to Louisiana-Monroe. It was not ranked again. Bobby Petrino had placed the Razorbacks fifth in the previous season.

Clemson managed to extend its streak to 107 weeks, which is the third-longest active streak after Alabama (218), and Ohio State (150).
The Buckeyes' streak doesn't include polls that they were not eligible for during the 2020 season, as the Big Ten wasn’t planning to play because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Alabama's current streak in poll appearances is second to Nebraska's 348 between 1981 and 2002.

No. 19 Oklahoma State beat Kansas State to improve its record to 4-0. Last season, the Cowboys were ranked.

No. 23 North Carolina State (3-1), which snapped an eight-game losing streak against Clemson, moved up to the top of the rankings. The Wolfpack was briefly ranked at No. 23 in the last season.
No. 24 Wake Forest is now 4-0, the first time it has been since 2019, when the Demon Deacons were ranked in total for five weeks, with a peak at No. 19. This is the only season Wake has ranked since 2008.

Iowa State started No. 7 is now ranked 2-2, which is unranked. It was ninth in 2020 and its highest ranking in school history.

Wisconsin started the season at No. 12 but lost to Penn State and Notre Dame to drop to 1-2, Wisconsin is now unranked.
Kansas State was in the rankings for one week and then dropped out.
