We've seen the results of a group highly-trained soldiers trying to rob a Las Vegas casino overrun by zombies. It didn't work out. It is now up to you to see what happens when thieves attempt rob banks in other countries.
Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead was the first to feature the story. The latest story is from Army of Thieves. It's a prequel to Snyders movie and will debut on Netflix on October 29. Matthias Schweighfer stars in it and is the director. Schweighfer played Dieter, the safecracker, in the first film. This new film focuses on Dieter's heist with an entirely different cast of characters, including Nathalie Emmanuel, Fast and Furious and Game of Thrones actor. The trailer for Army of Thieves is now available.
The trailer clearly shows that Army of Thieves does not feature zombies. Zombies are a part of the story, but not its world. This is an example of the way Snyder and his team hope to expand on that core movie in all new and unique ways, creating a Snyderverse.
We liked the idea of the film being set in a time when zombies were common, but it is not a zombie movie, Deborah Snyder, the producer, stated a few months ago. Is there a prequel that is a different type of film? This film is more romantic, comedy, and heist than any other. It just happens to be in a world with zombies in the U.S., which is causing some instability in the banking system.
