San Diego police reported that a woman and her child were killed when they fell from Petco Park's third floor shortly before Saturday's Padres match.
According to the San Diego Union Tribune, both the 2-year-old boy and woman aged 40 years were declared dead at 4:11 p.m. PST. Police have not released their names.
As fans were heading to the ballpark for the 4:05 p.m. match against the Atlanta Braves, the fall occurred.
According to the newspaper, police said that it was unclear whether the fall was accidental or deliberate.
