Witcher Season 2 and Prequel Blood Origin First Netflix Clips

Since December 2019, we have not been to the valley of many monsters with Geralt of Rivia, (Henry Cavill), but Netflix has been busy keeping The Witcher hype alive. Today, we finally have a new look thanks the Tudum event.

The streamer released Nightmare of the Wolf, the anime prequel film to the series. It expanded the universe of the series and introduced a character we will be seeing more of in season 2. A lot of season 2 images, teasers and trailers have been posted, including multiple teasers and a trailer. The trailer arrived at Netflix's virtual WitcherCon this summer and gives hints as to what lies ahead for our grunting hero (who promised hell grunts less this time). We have some clips from the season today to get us hooked even more. These clips are available below.

Netflix also purchased the first behind-the scenes look at The Witcher: Blood Origin. This is a prequel series that was also filmed live, but it's a live-action series and set earlier than Nightmare of the Wolf. According to its official synopsis, Blood Origin is set in an elven universe 1,200 years prior to The Witcher's world. It will tell a lost story about the creation of the first prototype Witcher and the events that led to the pivotal conjunction of the spheres. We are biased as Michelle Yeoh is our favorite character.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich created Season 2 of The Witcher and is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's books. It will be available on Netflix on December 17. It stars Cavill as Princess Ciri, Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey playing Jaskier. Kim Bodnia plays Vesemir. Blood Origin has no release date.
