At a rally in Georgia, Donald Trump claimed that Democrats are "after him" because they believe he has "big mouth."

They want to pursue me because they believe I have a large mouth. Trump said that he doesn't have a large mouth.

In a speech full of inaccuracies, false statements and rantings, the former president discussed the US withdrawal form Afghanistan.

Trump recounted an odd exchange about what he claimed happened when Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, a Taliban co-founder, learned of the US withdrawal.

"He receives a call or a text message. It stated that the military had left. Trump spoke of Baradar, saying "you're nuts" in their language.

Trump blamed President Joe Biden's decision to send people to Afghanistan to assist with the withdrawal, "who weren’t even familiar with it all" which included 13 servicemen who died in an ISIS terror attack.

Trump, however, was the one who initiated the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. He even boasted about it at times.

Trump claimed that those who were evacuated could not be evacuated. Trump also claimed that the administration had "abandoned hundreds" of American citizens on enemy-occupied territory.

Soon after the Taliban overtook Kabul, the US began to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies. Biden had considered expending the August 31 deadline for withdrawing all US troops, but the Taliban threatened "consequences," if they didn't leave the country by that date.

By the time that the last US plane left Kabul, more than 120,000 had been evacuated. For those being resettled in the US, the evacuationes had to be vetted prior to boarding the flight out of the country.

Trump also criticised Republicans at the rally, and repeated the false claim of rigging the 2020 presidential election. According to the Associated Press, Trump was joined by three Republicans he endorsed: Herschel, who has just launched a Senate campaign; Rep. Jody Hiice, whom he endorsed to replace Brad Raffensperger as Georgia Secretary of State; and Senator Burt Jones who attempted to reverse the results in Georgia.

Raffensperger was a Republican who claimed that the election in his state was fair and correct. The ex-president used the rally as an opportunity to criticize Raffensperger.
