Nessie could very well have been captured inadvertently on camera using modern-day technology. If you believe the guy selling it,
Richard Mavor, an outdoorman from the U.K., claims that he may have filmed Nessie on a drone camera while creating a video of him canoeing in Scotland’s great lake.
Watch the video -- Rick says that the would-be dinosaur appears around the 3:50 mark. Rick's drone hovers above Rick and his friends along the south shores of Loch Ness. You can see something rise from the bottom of the waterline.
As the drone zooms in, whatever it is becomes much more apparent. It does indeed look a bit sea creature-y. It even has a neck-like shape. It seems to fit the bill based on Nessie's descriptions over the years.
Richard and his friends thought exactly the same thing when they played it back. It doesn't sound like the monster has ever been seen, but the crew thinks they have something real.
It doesn't seem as long or intimidating as people have made it out to be. The Loch Ness monster measures approximately 20 feet in height, but it doesn't look like this monster is more than 15 feet. Perhaps it is Baby Nessie.
Reports of sightings date back to centuries, but the latest buzz comes from the (in)famous photograph above that shows what someone claimed was Nessie in 1933. Further investigation revealed that this was a hoax.
