Netflix confirms there will be a third season of The Witcher

Netflix announced that it will produce a third season for The Witcher at its Tudum event. We don't know when it might be, as no other details were given. Netflix stated that it will continue expanding The Witcher with a second anime movie and, surprisingly, a series for families and children.
These announcements will further increase Netflix's ever-growing collection of Witcher content. Netflix shared clips from the second season, ahead of the December 17th premiere, and gave a behind-the scenes look at The Witcher: Blood Origin. This live-action prequel series will also be shown at the event. The new content will be added to the first anime spinoff, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf which was released in August and the highly-acclaimed first season of The Witcher.

The shows could also keep the interest in the hit series of video games renewed. CD Projekt Red is planning a next-gen upgrade to The Witcher 3, with a release date set for late 2021.
