Netflix debuts video from its adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman

Netflix released a clip from the upcoming series that is based on Neil Gaiman's DC comic book series The Sandman. Although the video was short, it provided a glimpse of actor Tom Sturridge playing Dream.
This video was shown at Netflix's Tudum event on Saturday. Gaiman, Sturridge and Kirby Howell Baptiste (who played Death) also spoke about the series.

You can also see the character posters that Netflix shared in a Twitter thread for Sturridges' Dream, Howell-Baptistes Death and Mason Alexander Parks Desire to get a glimpse of what you can expect from the series.

The Sandman has been in production for many years. Netflix signed a deal with Warner Bros. to bring the show to life in 2019. The show also features Vivienne Acheampong playing Lucienne and Gwendoline Christine (known for her roles as Brienne of Tarth and Captain Phasma from Star Wars) as Lucifer.

The Sandman is the latest TV show to be based on Gaimans' work. Amazon adapts Good Omens for Amazon Prime Video. The show was so successful that Amazon decided to continue the series for a second season. Starz produced three seasons of American Gods. The last one debuted in January.
