T.J. Watt, Pittsburgh Steelers' outside linebacker, has been ruled out of Sunday's Week 3 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals due to a groin injury.

Watt, 26 years old, was injured last week while playing against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Watt stated that he believed it was a minor tweak and tried to push it through. Watt said, "Just trying to remain smart at the end. It's a long season.

The Wisconsin product is among the best defensive players in league.

He is a three-time Pro Bowler, two-time All-Pro selection, and he tallied 53 tackles and 23 tackles for losses. Last season, he also had 15 sacks, seven passes defensed, and two forced fumbles. His streak of at least 13 sack seasons was extended to three thanks to his best tackles and sack numbers.

Although Pittsburgh's defense will be affected by his absence on Sunday, Jamir Jones and Melvin Ingram III will see more time.
