It's Friday, it's fall, there's a breeze in (hopefully), but there are fresh renders of Samsungs expected Galaxy S22 Ultra. These renders were provided by Digit and @OnLeaks. They show a new Samsung flagship that looks like it has a Galaxy Note 20-inspired body. The back... well, you'll have to see for yourself.
T-Mobile Samsungs has been seeding Note features on its phones since it decided to forgo the Galaxy Note in 2021, much to the dismay of the company. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra both offer stylus support. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be even more powerful, according to these renders. Digit and OnLeaks claim that the new phone will feature the same hole-punch selfie camera and Candy Bar shape as last year's Note. It will also include stylus support and what appears to be a real stylus slot.

The back render is where the fun, bizarre, and sometimes even downright awful things happen, depending on what your tastes are. The Galaxy S22 Ultra seems to transform the S21 Ultra's camera plateau into a distinctive letter P shape. Are photos meant by the P? Pictures? Perhaps a periscope? It seems like there is plenty of space. The previous Ultra had a main 108-megapixel wide angle sensor, two 10-megapixel Telephoto sensors and a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor at the back. The new S22 Ultra may be able to fit in a space that is not known.
This could be Samsung's design. It also fits with the general trend of larger camera bumps on smartphones like the iPhone 13 Pro or the yet to be released Pixel 6. OnLeaks has a good record of leaked phones. They are very similar to the Pixel 5 as well as the Pixel 6. This type of refinement to a housing camera doesn't look out of place. In many ways, it is a reduction of S21 Ultras cameras: an area has been removed. It doesn't make it look weird, however.
