India lost to Australia after JhulanGoswami was found to have bowled no balls from the final delivery in the second women's international.

India believed they had won, even though the hosts needed three more to reach their goal of 275.

However, the third umpire ruled that Goswami's full thigh was above his waist.

Carey scored two runs from the free hit and Australia took a 2-0 series lead. This was their 26th consecutive win.

This record of winning streaks in one-day internationals is for both men and women.

The final drama was at the end of a great contest in Mackay (Queensland).

India's 274-7 win against Australia was largely due to Smriti Madhana's 86.

Australia fell to 52-4. Only for Beth Mooney, opener, to rebuild her stand with Tahlia McGrath, who added 74 runs to the 3-45 she won with the ball.

Carey was joined by Mooney, who finished on 125 not out for an unbroken partnership totalling 97. 13 were needed starting with the last over.

Carey had been hit on the head by Goswami's third delivery with a beamer, but India believed the final delivery was legal.

After a long wait, the adjudgement was made. Carey had to deliver the final pitch to Long-On for the winning runs.
