Xbox gets a new Edge browser that can play Stadia games, access Discord, and more

Microsoft has launched a new Xbox dashboard, which includes an updated Edge browser. The Chromium version Edge has been released to all Xbox One and Xbox Series S / X owners after six months of testing. It allows Xbox owners to stream Google Stadia and access Discord online, as well as many other new features.
Edge on Xbox looks almost identical to Edge on Mac or PC. You can even use vertical tabs or Collections. The Xbox version syncs your settings, favorite tabs, web history, and tabs just like Edge on PC or mobile. Extensions are the only thing it lacks. You can switch to developer mode to modify User Agent strings and access a console.

Edge supports keyboard and mouse, so you can access Word and Excel online or Google Stadia games using the keyboard, mouse, or Xbox controller. Although Discord doesn't yet exist on Xbox, Edge now allows you to access the web version. Discord allows you to join voice calls and text channel chats but microphone support is not available.

The new Edge browser is a significant improvement on the Xbox 360's. You can use it to access Steam PC and web games such as Krunker and Quake JS. Nvidia continues to block Edge access to its GeForce Now streaming services, which is quite bizarre. We have asked Nvidia numerous times why Edge is still blocked. However, the company stated in April that it was simply investigating Edge browser support.

All Xbox consoles can now access the new Microsoft Edge browser.
